I have recently started making my own beer at home and I have yet to find a recipe that I really like. Do you have any suggestions for finding a good recipe, or website which sells them? I typically like lagers (but they are tough to brew at home due to the temperature requeirements). An ale would be suitable.
What does the average set up cost, and after that what do you think it costs to brew beer.... I am interested in this for a hobby and am wondering if it is really cost effective or if it is about the same...I like to throw occasional parties, so I am sure it would all be enjoyed...
I want to learn how to brew my own beer. I was given 48 used green plastic bottles. But I am not sure how I meant to seal the bottles.
I would like to learn and am starting with complete zero knowledge of home brewing. Need to know things such as the equipment needed, ingredients, process, ect.
I need the best Beer Brewing book in print.
You know, to save money.
I guess it doesn't have to be micro brew. What is the best/your favorite beer that an American company or person has made and is readily available?
I'll be moving to the area soon and don't know of any in the city. Does anyone have some good suggestions?
I was wondering if i could distill the same mash from my beer kit through my pot still and extract the alchol?
I am looking to brew my own beer and was wondering if anyone knew a good price for a beer brewing kit and any related tips because I am thinking of brewing my own beer. Thanks
I want to make a high alcohol brew, that has good taste but, somewhere in the 8 to 10% range. Is this possible using a kit? I'm new to brewing and the kit is the way I would like to go for my first few brews. any help or information would be nice. Possibly even a recipe? Thanks!
My boyfriend wants a beer making kit for Christmas. Any suggestions for a good one? I'm afraid he'll end up with some crappy tasting beer or a cheap kit that doesn't even work right. I don't want to spend a whole lot on this. Or would I be better off just ordering the things needed?...whatever they are!
I already have the beer making kit,but have lost the directions. I would like to get started but dont even know where to start.

I got a beer making kit as a gift. Someone told me to be careful that they can blow up. Is that true or a load of bull? http://www.quazen.com/Recreation/Moonshine.522521
My daughter purchased a homemade beer kit, that did not work well. Do you know how to make home made beer, whiskey, or wine. http://www.notecook.com/Drinks/Cocktails/Moonshine.516975

I now live in India and I want to brew my own beer. I can improvise on the equipments. It is also possible that I can find the ingredients in the regular market, if I knew them by name (not the trade names). Can anyone help me?
If I drink too much beer or lager, which I believe have added-ins-or ons to preserve, it gives me a hangover which I didn`t want or paid for. What are the ingredients in the beer and lager that causes this? I have made my own in the past and there`s absolutely no hangover next morning. Mike L Yes, I know I make my own, but it has to be drunk within a certain time gap. Canned beer has to contain preservatives, and that`s what I want to know. Try again JOE H There`s two things I know about beer and lager. 1. Too much alcohol will give you a hangover and... 2. Canned beers have a chemical ingredient to stop it going bad. The question is: what is the name of the ingredient. `Scuse me, but I thought it was a very simple question, but it must be the answer which is hard.
The sanitizer pack says not to rinse it off. It says I should also use a plate with sanitizer to rest the tools on. Does anyone have tips on how this works? I don't want to drink the sanitizer in the beer and I don't understand how to use it.
I am thinking about getting into beer home brewing as a hobby, would you recommend buying a starter kit or buy the equipment piece by piece and if so what kit? What pieces? And what sites would you recommend checking out?
I am looking to start brewing beer in my home. Most kits seems to be reasonably priced 50-100$ which is fine. 2 Questions I have are 1. What quality of beer is made from these kits i.e. Mr Beer etc. Is it better or worse than Natural Light / Coors Light / Bud Light (college beers mostly). ... Hopefully it at least is as good as natural.. and if not what do they taste like. 2. How much money would I save making a batch (in terms of 30 beers, a case).
Is it hard to make home brewed alcohol that tastes good without the proper equipment? All I would do is ferment something like grapes with yeast, then filter it with something like a coffee filter or paper towel. Would that taste disgusting without using the right stuff? What should I do to make it taste better? What other processes are necessary for this?
I am interested in making beer at home. I prefer dark (guiness, black and tan) beers. Does anyone know of a good beginners kit I can purchase for this?
I was at the shops and saw all of these cans of home brew beer and was wondering how easy is it to get started in home brewing and what equipment I need. Does home brew taste any good?
Looking for a place that I can visit in person. Can't seem to find a place by looking online, other than one that is no longer in business.

I am now ready to buy my first real home brew kit and would like to know which is ideal for people relatively new to the hobby, as well as what items are absolutely necessary to a successful brewing experience. Thanks!
